In this work new azo derivatives of anti-inflammatory agents were synthesized by reacting aspirin with nitrating agent to get A1, further treated with various aromatic primary amines to get compound A2-A5. Lead compounds were characterized by melting point, TLC, elemental analysis, IR, 1H-NMR and mass spectral data. All the synthesized compounds were screened for in-vitro anti-inflammatory activity against standard aspirin drug, anthelmintic activity against albendazole as a standard drug. Synthesized compounds showed promising anti-inflammatory and anthelmintic activity.
